Broad seepage area on S facing steep, well developed alpine tundra slope. Component of dense shrub krummholz including Populus tremuloides, Picea engelmannii, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Juniperus communis, Pentaphylloides floribunda...; locally common but not seen elsewhere in area.
Veg
Stunted shrublike plts 5-6 ft tall, trunk bore to 2 in.; locally common but not seen elsewhere in area. Precambrian granite substrate. 7.5' Willow Lakes quad.
