Creek floodplain; with Salix planifolia, Pentaphylloides floribunda, Betula glandulosa, Agrostis scabra, Equisetum arvense, Carex norvegica; scattered & widespread on hummocks in carex fens & in slightly drier zone surrounding ponds.

Occurrence Remarks:
Substrate boundary between Leadville Limestone and Minturn-Belden Formation. Spreading shrub 1 m tall with very small leaves & catkins. 7.5' Jones Hill quad.
