Weedy, grazed, somewhat scrubby ridgetop and NW-facing sandstone bluffs. Scattered pinyon and juniper; gambel oak and serviceberry common. Rocky, sandy, frequently barren soil. Locally common in wash. Also collected at this site: E. eatonii var. eatonii, E. divergens var. divergens; and E. pumilus ssp. concinnoides var. condensatus.
