Salix monticola Bebb, det. by R. Dorn, 1993. Twigs shorter, more divaricate, many-noded, yellowish-brown to brown, glabrous; leafs younger, 1-1.5 cm. long, more broadly oblanceolate now, glaucous beneath, margins more crenate-serrulate, especially toward apex,....comments by C.R. Ball, 1952.
