Habitat: Dominant plant on gravel flat. Soil: dry colluvial sandy cryoboroll.

Reproductive Condition: Flr

Notes: Gibson Gulch Quad. Red form and yellow form on sheet. Height red 6 cm, yellow 4 cm. Fresh petals: either deep red, 2.5 R3/8 or light yellow, 5Y10/12.
