Alpine fellfield summit & ridge near summit on steeply tipped slabs w/ ca. 50% veg. cover. Assoc. include Phlox condensata, Eritrichum aretioides, Androsace septentrionalis, Besseya alpina, Primula angustifolia, Potentilla sp., Trifolium dasyphyllum, Lloydia serotina. Ubiquitous from timberline to summit in many habitats. Lower member of Sangre de Cristo Form. (red arkose sandstone, conglomerate ss. siltstone & shale).
