Along the south side of the river, nearly all at the ecotone between riparian and upland vegetation.
Populus balsamifera ssp. trichocarpa, Alnus rhobifolia, Salix sp.
RARE, not listed in draft flora. Widely scattered individuals. At least 10 specimens seen. Most are small (less than 15 feet). Easily discerned from Salix upon close inspection, and then relatively easy to spot amongst them. One plant was spotted (not collected or viewed close up) south of the Highway 38 bridge in the middle of the river - it happens to be the tallest tree (not by much) in this location.
