Georeference Remarks: I placed the point along the slopes of Independence Mountain ~NW of Cowdrey. The elevation does not drop to 8,000 ft until much closer to the town than 8 miles. I used a large uncertainty to cover the general area since the distance and elevation do not l

Habitat: Rocky slopes.

Reproductive Condition: Flr

Notes: Plants widely radiating with many decumbent stems from a massive taproot 3 cm thick. Flowers a distinctive pale lemon-yellow.
