Habitat: Flat area on mesa summit in rocky, gritty soil; common associates include Pinus edulis, Sabina osteosperma, Amelanchior utahensis, Pacera multilobata, Oreocarya osterhoutii, Stenotus ameriodes, Hesperostipa comata. Common and widespread.
Reproductive Condition: Flr
Occurrence Remarks: 5 ft. shrub densely branched from base, mostly in fruit; flowers pale yellow; NAD27. Salt Wash member of Morrison Formation.
