Dense grass and sedge turf on wet solifluction lobes interfingered with rock river ribbons; dominants include Ranunculus macauleyi, Psychrophila leptosepala, Acomastylis rossii, Paronychia pulvinata, Micranthes rhomboidea. locally common and scattered elsewhere on tundra. Upper Cambrian Sawatch quartzite surface soils over limestone.
