In old-growth spruce-fir forest. 5% slope ot N, on wet soil. The rich plant assemblage includes Calamagrostis canadensis, Micranthes odontoloma, Geranium richardsonii, Mitella pentandra, Cardamine cordifolia, Equisetum arvense, and Trolius albiflorus.
