Habitat: Pinyon-juniper woodland and sagebrush/rabbitbrus-grassland along primarily N-S trending ridge. Large disturbed swath on W side of road where gas line was installed. (Parachute and Evacuation Creek members of Green River Formation) mostly barren.
Substrate: Gravelly shale soil.
Description: Common. Corolla limbs and distal portion of tube blue, proximal portion of tube purple. Each petal with 3 purple lines; the lateral 2 extending to end of tube, the medial extending ca 2 mm further into lobe. Anthers dark blue abaxally, white adaxially.
