Pinyon-juniper woodland and sagebrush/rabbitbrus-grassland along primarily N-S trending ridge. Large disturbed swath on W side of road where gas line was installed. (Parachute and Evacuation Creek members of Green River Formation) mostly barren.
Gravelly shale soil.
Common. Corolla limbs and distal portion of tube blue, proximal portion of tube purple. Each petal with 3 purple lines; the lateral 2 extending to end of tube, the medial extending ca 2 mm further into lobe. Anthers dark blue abaxally, white adaxially.
