United States, Texas, Jeff Davis, Above Limpia Creek near Wild Rose Pass, 13 miles northeast of Fort Davis.
Abundant on rocky (igneous) pastured hillsides, growing with Castilleja integra and Allium coryi.

Leaves much puckered distally on lobes; corolla - tube pale yellow, the lip clear lemon - yellow; galea yellow or yellowish - green dorsally, the margins yellow; anthers salmon.
