Flat slope, open exposure, glacial alluvium substrate. Damp meadow 20' from riverbank; mixed vegetation included several Carex sp. Several patches locally.

UTM zone 13. Rhizomatous 3-4' high coarse plants in dense patch covering 20 sq. ft. area, only a few plants with fruiting stems; leaves mostly basal.
