Flat slope, open exposure. Substrate: glacial alluvium. Crotch deep water in beaver pond with Sparganium augustifolium. Plants rooted in ankle deep ooze on pond bottom. Abundant.

Potamogeton gramineus Linnaeus, det. Robert R. Haynes, 1995. Original ID: Potamogeton epihydrus var. nuttallii. Submersed leaves strap shaped; floating leaves wider, elliptical; some flowering stems submersed, some emergent.
