Large peatland area, very gently sloping north towards the Lamar River. Several spring pools are evident in the site. Site has a pH range of 7.45 to 7.62.
Primary dominates are Carex simulata and Carex aquatilis, with low-growing Salix gayeriana stands located on the edge of the site. The peatland center contains hummocky patches with Eleocharis quinqueftora. Ranunculus cymbalaria, and Triglochin maratima.
