Locally abundant; Leaves short, in-folded, the margins erect, sharply toothed especially distally; sheath very short; costa excurrent into a short, stout, reddish point; innovations slender, green; lamellae of 6-7 rows of quadrate cells, in face view the terminal cells smooth, not conspicuously different but irregular; in section the lamellae have a smooth, pyriform apical cell. Capsule almost globose.
