On shaded rock in ravine along lane leading to the "amphitheater"
Leaves appressed, not catenulate; main stems with fascicles of brown rhizoids, stem leaves much larger than branch leaves, with 20+ cells across widest portion; main stem apices often secund; stems with scattered fascicles of hyaline filamentous paraphyllia. Costa very variable, often absent, sometimes forked.
