Stem leaves very broadly ovate, attenuate, biplicate, much larger than branch leaves; costa very broad and truncate, reaching leaf middle branch leaves much smaller and less acuminate; laminal cells up to 20 from lower margin to costa, smooth or slightly bulging (in P. tectorum the number of rows of cells is not more than 10; branches with bud-like propagula in the leaf axils.
