Habitat: Among stable boulders on gravelly dry tundra bench at toe of Holocene & Pleistocene rock glaciers; associates include: Pentaphylloides floribunda, Juniperus communis, Frasera speciosa, Rydbergia grandiflora, Phlox condensata. 7.5' Electric Peak quad. Widely flaring light blue corolla, anthers orange; relatively common & widespread above timberline. Lower member of Sangre de Cristo Form (red arkose sandstone, conglomerate ss. siltstone & shale).
