In obrotrophic bog. Northeast corner of lake 239. Eastern portion of mire dominated by dense cover of Picea mariana. Western portion recently burned with Pinus bankskiana seedlings abundant. Dominant plants of mire: Carex trisperma. C. pauciflora. Chamaedaphne calyculata, Ledum groenlandicum. Eriophorum spissum, Kalmia polifolia. Sphagnum fallax. S. angustifolum, S. fuscum
