Locality: United States, Colorado, Fremont, Lower portion of Phantom Canyon, on highway to Cripple Creek, between Pueblo and Canyon City, north of Arkansas River, ca 5-7000 ft alt
Elevation: 1524-2134 meters
Verbatim Elevation: 5000-7000 ft
Habitat: On left side of the road, at base of massive cliffs in the first "narrows", 3-4 miles up the canyon from the junction. The mosses are on a few small ledges at the south base of the cliff.
Associated Species: Associated with Didymodon anserinocapitatus, Leptopterigynandrum austroalpinum, Syntrichia inermis, Encalypta vulgaris, Schistidium apocarpum, Pseudoleskeella tectorum, and Bryoerythrophyllum recurv¡rostrum.
