Granitic substrate, well developed tundra on gentle SE facing slope; common associates include Carex ebenea, C. nova, C. scopulorum, Acomastylis rossii ssp. turbinata, Psychrophylla leptosepala, Luzula spicata, Sibbaldia procumbens, Bistorta vivipara. Locally common.
