SE-facing 27° slope along trail, in fairly dense, young aspen forest.. With understory of Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Chamerion danielsii, Achillea lanulosa, Fragaria virginiana, Castilleja sulphurea, Pulsatilla patens, Carex foenea. Common. USGS quad 7.5' Harvard Lakes. Precambrian quartz monzonite, adamellite, quartz substrate. Loosely clumped, slightly rhizomatous.
