Mat community on windswept brow of mesa with scattered pinyon. Todilto Limestone.
Petals yellow except for a small orange area at junction of claw and blade; densely pulvinate-caespitose; inflorescences flush with herbage. Fruits becoming deep copper-red; growing with a short form of Lesquerella fendleri.
