In crevices in sandstone rock pavement. Utah juniper vegetation with some Pinus flexilis. With black sagebrush (Artemisia nova), Sedum lanceolatum, Pteryxsia, Eriogonum, Gutierrezia, and some Koeleria. North-facing hillside, mostly, rock pavement with patches of soil under junipers.
