Under Juniperus osteosperma in gritty, sandy slope above drainage floodplain with Penstemon utahensis, Gutierrezia sp., Cryptantha pterocarya, Boechera selbyi, B. pulchra, Anisantha tectorum, Vulpia octaflora, Ellisia nyctalea. Occasional locally. Plants short rhizomatous and small clumps. Permian Cutler Form. 7.5' Gateway quad, NAD27.
