Habitat: Above E lakeshore along trail between carpark and Chicago Lakes overlook; in dense turf community with dominants Acomastylis rossii, Bistorta bistortoides and Erigeron pinnatisectus, Artemisia scopulorum, Carex scopulorum, C. elynoides, Cerastium beeringianum, Trisetum spicatum, Poa brachyphylla spp.coloradensis. 7.5' Evans quad, NAD27. Silver Plume granite and moraine deposits.Large ceaspitose clumps, relatively common.
