In pocket gopher-disturbed, fine sandy, micaceous loam on terrace 10 ft. above N. side of stream; with Deschampsia cespitosa, Potentilla diversifolia, Bistorta bistortoides. Volcanic ash-flow tuff substrate of Tertiary origin. Locally common.

Flowers greenish; locally common but known only from this location in ROMO from a 1930 Nelson Collection (214). 7.5' Fall R. Pass.
