Very steep slope, SSW exposure. Associated species: Pinus contorta, Pinus aristata, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Populus tremuloides.
Veg
Habit: 2 trunks, straight, very wide crown, thick foliage, branching to base. Hgt. 40 ft., DBH 24 & 10½ in, bark dark gray, rugose below, silver gray above. Many old and recent cones but no crop for this year, Many 1 inch cones beneath the tree.
