Very steep slope, N exposure. Associated species: Pseudotsuga menziesii, Populus tremuloides, Pinus contorta, and Pinus aristata. Only a few limber pines in the stand.
Veg
Habit: Straight, narrow-crowned, well shaped. Hgt. 18 ft. DBH 7 in., bark silver gray, smooth. Many green and new cones but no old ones.
