Gentle slope S exposure. Associated species: Pinus ponderosa, Populus tremuloides.
Veg
Habit: Single bole soon branching into 3 main trunks; spreading crown and very dense foliage. Hgt 40 ft., DBH 36 in., bark dark gray, fairly rugose. Old cones plentiful but no new crop evident.
