Very steep slope, SW exposure. Associated species: Pseudotsuga menziesii and Pinus contorta on nearby ridge.
Veg
Habit: Straight, branching from near the ground crown wide, branches spreading. Bark dark to medium gray tinged with red. New, old, and green cones plentiful.
