I followed HWY 550 4.4 miles south of Ouray. The area is north west of Poughkeepsie Gulch. I placed the point on a south slope above the road along the 8800 ft contour line. There are other areas that also match the description so I increased the uncertai

Extremely steep slope, S exposure. Associated species: Juniperus scopulorum, nearby but no other trees in immediate vicinity.
Veg
Habit: Straight, wide crowned. Hgt. 24 ft., DBH 13 in., bark medium gray, slightly rugose. A few green cones, some old cones.
