Large expanse of barren, cobbly volcanic rock. Other spp. in vicinity include Claytonia megarhiza, Silene acaulis, Smelowskia calycina, Ligularia soldanella, Papaver kluanense. Shifting talus proximate to recent snowmelt; at least 20 plants present.
