In damp soil at edge of shrub community just above gully bottom; with Symphoricarpos occidentalis, Celtis reticulata, Monarda fistula, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Nepeta cataria; occasional along gully.

7.5' Morrison quad. Corolla deep maroon with red highlights; mostly in fruit. Artificial fill over Denver Formation.
