Habitat: Gravelly, granitic alluvial fill. Low bench in drainage adjacent to dry wash in open Populus tremuloides forest with Pentaphylloides floribunda, Cirsium canescens, Geranium caespitosum, Aliciella pinnatifida, Artemisia campestris ssp. pacifica. locally common.
Reproductive Condition: Flr & Frt
Occurrence Remarks: Stems erect, several from taproot; flowers pink-purple; locally common. 7.5' Buena Vista East quad, NAD27.
