Occurrence Remarks: Penstemon virgatus A. Gray ssp asa-grayi Crosswhite, det. by N. Lederer, August 2006. Transferred from USGS Herbarium, Denver, CO (2005). Originally ID'd as Penstemon angustifolius Pursh. Corolla deep blue or lavender.
