Forming thickets in riparian bottomland floodplain; Alnus tenuifolia flanking both sides of creek, Ribes inerme forming thickets beneath & on bank with Poa pratensis, Urtica dioica, Heracleum sphondylium. Precambrian granodiorite to quartz monzonite substrate.
