Well above Timberline, in cobbly, sandy soil, ca 60 % veg. cover. on broad S facing 30% slope, alpine meadow. Infrequent. Ass: Trifolium, Poa alpina, Agropyron lattiglume, Poa reflexa, Pleum alpinum, Taraxicum, Carex ebonea.

Delphinium barbeyi, det. William F. Jennings, 29 October 1998. Sepals royal blue-purple, spur white ventrally purple dorsally. Occasionally with green chlorophyllus margins.
