Penstemon glaber Pursh var. glaber, det. by Ray E. Umber & Marisa Latady, 1986. Original ID: Penstemon alpinus Torr., det. by J. Ewan, 1947. All the plants consistently small on more open saddle to south of main peak; plants attractive for dainty habit and large fine flowers on such small stems.
