I placed the point based on the given locality information, 5.0 miles NE of the GNIS point of CaƱon City, along HWY 50, at an elevation of 5420 ft. VD; Georeferenced 16 June 216
On roadside bank and the surrounding plains. Heavy clay shale soil. This species the dominant plant in the area. Artemisia, Opuntia and Chrysothamnus also present.
