In damp soil of gully bottom below 3 cottonwood trees with dense thicket of Celtis reticulata, Symphoricarpos occidentalis, Galium spurium... on bordering streambanks; drainage bottom dominated by Carex...; 2 clumps locally, only place seen. Tertiary-Cretaceous swelling clay of Denver formation.
