Habitat: Clay substrate; rare, only a few other trees on N slope of mesa.

Occurrence Remarks: Original ID: Juniperus scopulorum. Oval shaped 20' tree with 18 in. diam. trunk, branching just above ground level; no fruits or cones evident.
