Adobe hills of Mancos Shale. Sabina (Juniperus) osteosperma/Atriplex canescens association with largely barren "understory". Ruderal; roadside.

Limited habitat type in BLCA; site with many spp. restricted to these shales, as well as considerable number of weeds along roadway proximate to boundary. Pale purple flowers.
