I plotted the UTM in the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of section 17. This is not on the trail though. Looking at http://www.ci.boulder.co.us/openspace/gis/trailheads/trailhead-shanahan.htm it looks like the south trail runs along the 17/18 line and heads west.
