In open Pinus edulis-Sabina osteosperma community near ridge summit on broad gently sloping area NE of deep canyon leading to Wingate cliffs above, with Cryptantha sp., Tetraneuris acaulis var. arizonica; locally common. Quaternary wind deposited sand and silt.
